What is Thaw & Thrive?

The ice storm last week was devastating to local businesses. Most businesses had to close for almost a week to keep staff and customers safe, making it difficult to keep bills and staff paid. 

​

Small businesses build the character of our communities. They provide unique community spaces, employ our neighbors, and support local events and charitable causes. 

​

Thaw & Thrive is a celebration of local business- now that the roads are clear let's get out of the house and overwhelm out local small business with support! 

Support local small business, win prizes!

Take a picture outside a participating local business and post it on instagram with #thawandthrive for an entry to win one of many raffle prizes from local businesses! 

​

Each post is a separate entry! The more businesses you visit, the more chances to win!

​

Winners will be randomly chosen by 2/3/24. We will use a random number generator to determine which #thawandthrive entries are winners, and we will contact winners via instagram message.

Small, locally owned brick and mortar businesses (not including franchises) in the greater Portland area are encouraged to join us!

1) Complete this form

2) Email your business logo to cierra@spokeandwordbooks.com

3) Drop off a small raffle prize to Spoke & Word Books before noon on Wednesday 1/24

4) Promote on social media!

Requirements for businesses:
-located in the greater Portland area
-locally owned, small business
-has a storefront/physical location for customers to visit without an appointment (ie. brick and mortar retail and cafe/restaurants)
-not a franchise/chain
